Domestic Church – 119

Love is what compels mothers to do all that they do for their families. A mother’s vocation is to love her family and through that dedicated love, to work out her own salvation while she is guiding her family to work out theirs as well.”

A lot to live up to. Mary must have has a hard time too.

Here I have been so conflicted over my missionary and my mommy life, but Mary would have been to. She wouldn’t have wanted her much-loved son to die, but yet, she wanted to save the people from sin too, for them to have their salvation. Her heart must have been in turmoil that entire week in Jerusalem, maybe even since that day in the temple when Jesus was twelve. How did she cope? Trust in God overall, but was that enough for the daily? Truly?

It must have cost Jesus too, knowing the pain He was causing to the one who’d tucked him in, bandaged the boo-boos, sung the lullabies. But He knew it had to be that way for His Father’s plan to work out.

Be still and listen” keeps coming to mind lately. That is what I need to do, what Jesus and Mary had to do, so that they would know they were on the right path, so they would know what had to be done next. So that the dedicated love would lead to the salvation.

Have Fun with God

Then I decided to spend my time having fun because I felt that there was nothing better in all the earth than that a man should eat, drink, and be merry, with the hope that this happiness would stick with him in all the hard work that God gives to mankind everywhere.
