Today’s Impulse

A clear indication (indictment?) about how the modern world influences us.  We get negative comments all over the place, even if we aren’t in middle school.  Most women don’t look like Barbie or the other Hollywood starlets.  Of course, I have yet to see a Ryan Reynolds clone walking around either.  All the self-help books tell us that we aren’t good enough the way we are.  Never thought I’d say this, but there is a Lady Gaga song that is positive and that I would like to put on Chelsea’s play list – “Born that Way”.  We’re fine the way God made us, when we listen to Him.  God doesn’t make junk, and He surely doesn’t tell His creations junk.  We can’t let media, Hollywood, or others influence the way we think about ourselves.

Have Fun with God

Then I decided to spend my time having fun because I felt that there was nothing better in all the earth than that a man should eat, drink, and be merry, with the hope that this happiness would stick with him in all the hard work that God gives to mankind everywhere.
