Getting closer to liftoff

So…the first box of books should be on it’s way to Amazon later today, I should have flyers at least printed with the selling furniture, and I have put in a call to the real estate agent who may be handling the residential rental.

Remember the scene in “The Sound of Music” when Maria is on her way to the Von Trapp household for the first time and trying to boost her faltering nerves by singing about how she has confidence in herself?  Yeah, it’s like that today.  Granted, I have confidence in my ability to pull off this disassemblage (is that a word? ), and I have every confidence in both the Lord and in this calling.

It’s a bit like going on a zipline for the first time:  you have confidence in the equipment, you have confidence in the operators…but, dang, that looks like a long way down from the top of the platform!  I just have to loosen the white knuckles, take a deep breath, and plunge.  And ignore the tummy-butterflies.

I have GOT to throw that song on my playlist, or at least stack it with Amy Grant, Matt Maher, and the usual suspects.

Have Fun with God

Then I decided to spend my time having fun because I felt that there was nothing better in all the earth than that a man should eat, drink, and be merry, with the hope that this happiness would stick with him in all the hard work that God gives to mankind everywhere.
