God’s hands

The final Harry Potter comes out this weekend, the Hallows part 1 is in the DVD player, the US Women are in the World Cup final on Sunday, had a wonderful evening with friends yesterday, pool and tennis planned tonight with friends (weather permitting)…this is just one of those times when I have to stop and thank God for all the blessings He is showering down on me and mine.

There was a song that popped up this morning by JJ Heller that hopefully will pop up on this post – if not, check YouTube.  Anyways, the song is about how we are all in God’s hands on a 24/7 basis.  I love the song because it does remind me that even when things are looking topsy-turvy, even when I feel like I am just at the very bottom of what I can take, I (and all of us) are still God’s very precious children, and He has us firmly cradled in His hands.

If we lean on Him, listen to Him, and let Him guide us, we will be all right.  As our wonderful priest pointed out recently – God looks after the birds, the lilies of the fields…and He has told us we are His precious children.  Not sure why He claims us as his some days, but the miracle is that He does, and not only that, He gave up his only son for us.  Just so we can be rid of sin.  It is the most amazing. gratitude-inducing, knee-dropping thing ever.

Have Fun with God

Then I decided to spend my time having fun because I felt that there was nothing better in all the earth than that a man should eat, drink, and be merry, with the hope that this happiness would stick with him in all the hard work that God gives to mankind everywhere.
